Parent / Guardian Signature __________________________________________________________ Date ____________________________ Audition Answers For all speaking roles, vocal solos & dance Monday, July 10 - 3:00pm (following camp dismissal) Everyone who registers for MDDC will play a vital role in the finale performance, Saturday, July 15. But for those looking for an extra challenge, auditions will be held for dancers, speaking roles and vocal solos. Campers should come prepared to sing a familiar song or recite a favorite poem. The directors will hold open auditions after dismissal on the first day of camp. Below are some suggestions on how to best prepare for an audition. Keep your song or reading limited to one minute or less. Choose a piece you know well. You’ll be much more confident when you perform. In most cases, an upbeat song is best. Show enthusiasm and energy! Make sure the song is in a comfortable key for you. Choose a song that is not a current hit on the radio. If possible, use an accompaniment tape or CD (i.e., karaoke) so you can practice ahead of time. Sell yourself and your song with energy and enthusiasm. If you’re not a singer, that’s okay; give the directors a show and you’ll win them over! WHAT IS MDDC? Music Drama Day Camp is an incredible week-long experience! Each day is filled with training in music, drama and dance. But that’s only the beginning of the fun! Team competitions, games, crafts and Bible lessons all make for a great experience. The week concludes Saturday with a final dress rehearsal, full cast pizza party and performance of MDDC for our family and friends! Plan to join in the fun! Music-Drama Day Camp 2017
