FOUR-PERSON BEST BALL FORMAT MEALS INCLUDED WITH ENTRY PRIZES AND RAFFLES! This unique museum celebrates the genius of Glenn Hammond Curtiss, and enhances understanding of the impact that the development of aviation has had on Hammondsport, on the state, on the nation, and on the world. Each year the Curtiss Museum greets more than 30,000 visitors. In a typical year, nearly 2,000 school children participate in targeted tours and special programs at the museum. Many visitors come as a part of a special group, including senior citizens, handicapped, Scouts, Elderhostel, home schooled children, airplane, motorcycle clubs and tourism clubs. The museum is the grateful recipient of 13,500 hours of yearly volunteer service. More than 2,000 of these volunteer hours are in cooperation with the RSVP program of Steuben County. Traveling museum displays are set up at local airports, museums and community centers. Lectures and programs are presented to area clubs and organizations. The museum’s restoration shop, staffed by volunteers, has completed reproductions and restorations of many historic airplanes and also provides expert help with special museum projects. In addition to its educational outreach, the Curtiss Museum provides meeting space for local charitable groups and space for receptions, presentations, banquets and other social events. The Glenn H. Curtiss Museum collects, preserves and interprets early aviation, transportation and local history. REGISTER TODAY!
