• Catalogs – for locating books, maps, musical scores, govt. documents, etc.

• Databases – usually for locating magazine and newspaper articles, but may cover other materials as well

• Internet – Librarian vetted sites or sites which have been critically evaluated

• Looks in several locations (usually subject, article title, abstracts or contents)

• Does not require an exact match• Generates comparatively large number of

hits (not precise)• Good if you are not familiar with

Naxos claims to be the world's largest classical music listening service containing over 75,000 tracks of music. It contains much more than just classical music as a look at the homepage will reveal. Note that it also covers jazz, film scores, new age, and even Chinese music among other genre.
