objectives

• To be able to identify features in a multimedia system.

• Be able to make use the recorded sound or voices to be incorporated in a multimedia presentation.

Movie Maker application package• Be able to create a simple storyboard using a

movie maker program.

Multimedia?

The use of computers to present text, graphics, video, animation, and sound in an

integrated way.

Multimedia Requires:

1. audio peripherals (microphone, speaker, radio, musical instrument…)A sound card is required to digitized and synthesized

the sound.

2. video peripherals (scanner, video-cam, video player, video CD-player.)

A video card is required to digitize the video input.

3. Output peripherals (high-resolution monitor, laser/colour printer,

LCD/OHP image panel)LCD is placed on the OHP then connected to a

monitor and project it on to the flyer screen.

4. Mass storage media. The CD-ROM is usually used to store vast

amount of text, audio and video files in a multimedia system.
