Eagle Lighting Australias range of Multifive G2 luminaires utilises Fagerhult’s Beta r5-louvre technology to provide light output ratios (LOR) of 92% whilst meeting AS1680 luminance requirements, Multifive G2 also achieves European EN12464-1 visual comfort guidelines.

The R5 Beta louvre features double parabolic cross blades with a reflector made of special satin-matt material providing a high LOR and excellent visual comfort.

Where BCA and Greenstar requirements dictate high efficiency and low power density, the Multifive G2 is the perfect solution. The Multifive features in a number of new and significant Australian projects including the BHP Billiton Towers (Perth), 123 Albert St (Brisbane), the Gateway Building and the Macquarie Bank Headquarters (Sydney).

+ The Multifive is constructed from sheet steel, manufactured and assembled at Eagle Lighting Australias facility in Melbourne.

+ The optical system of the Multifive incorporated with Fagerhult’s unique r5-louvre delivers a wide light distribution, outstanding photometric performance and good uniformity in all areas where the luminaire is used, and at an economical cost.

+ The Multifive body has been designed to house the specialised construction of the r5-louvre, the result being zero light leak compared to a typical louvre.

+ Suitable for exposed T-bar or plasterboard ceilings, the shallow depth of the Multifive is less likely to clash with other mechanical services within the ceiling space.

+ Within the 300 and 600mm housings, single or twin integrated louvres may be incorporated. This provides an architectural statement and provides individuality within the interior.

+ The 150mm wide fixture is available in symmetrical and asymmetrical beam distributions to provide a flexible lighting solution within the interior.

+ Control gear for the Multifive G2 is available in standard HF, DSI and DALI protocol, to provide aesthetic and functional lighting within all interior areas where the luminaire is used.

+ To maximise the operating life, Control gear is mounted outboard of luminaire optical system to reduce temperatures around the componentry.

+ The Multifive is available in a wide range of configurations to suit almost any installation requirements. Where an existing configuration doesn’t suit, if possible, Eagle Lighting Australia will engineer a customised solution.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

ECO-SEAL PAINT FINISH

The Multifive is finished in a seamless and fully-automated powdercoating process, where the raw luminaire components are degreased and treated, dried, coated and baked before being prepared for assembly.

Incorporated into the water-based, degreasing cycle is an eco-seal application. Through a three-stage procedure, two parts of eco-seal are combined to give all of our luminaires an additional rust-inhibiting seal.

Eco-sealing is essential as we are rustproofing the entire luminaire including all its raw edges. We see this as value-added benefit to the end-user when you begin to compare the quality of our fittings and pricing with competitors.

REFLECTOR AND LOUVRE MATERIAL

The reflectors and active louvres in the Multifive range are designed for maximum efficiency and controlled light distribution. This makes it possible to plan lighting for energy efficient solutions.

A significant factor in obtaining a high level of efficiency in any luminaire is the choice of reflector and louvre material. In the Multifive we make use of Fagerhult’s r5-louvre, constructed from Alanod’s Miro® anodised aluminium.

MIRO® is proven to have excellent properties as a reflectivity enhancing material. The carefully co-ordinated layers are produced in a high vacuum increasing their total reflectivity to 95% compared to conventional anodised versions. The result is a luminaire with increased efficiency of 10% to 30% over a similar luminaire using standard anodised material.

r5-LOUVRE

Fagerhult’s double parabolic r5-louvre has been developed specifically for the T5-fluorescent lamps to give the best effectiveness with regard to light distribution and efficiency. High efficiency is directly linked to energy efficiency.

The r5-louvre consists of a double parabolic louvre and a top reflector, which maximises the optical efficiency and controls the luminance in all directions around the luminaire.

The r5-louvre has the following advantages:

+ a reduction in the thickness of the cross-blades means that the light opening’s area has been enlarged by approximately 4%.

+ Sealing the top of the cross-blades minimises light losses.

+ The curved tops of the cross-blades eliminate unwanted reflections on the side reflector and gives good mechanical cut off in all directions.

+ Metallised aluminium.

+ Fixed top reflector of specular metallised aluminium.

r5-LOUVRE TECHNOLOGY

The r5-louvre effectively guides out the light even from the back of the fluorescent lamp.

Rigid side construction enables easy removal of the louvre for maintenance. This also ensures that the louvre doesn’t sag or distort over time.

Thin cross blades give larger light openings and increase efficiency.

No reflections from the top of the cross blades are visible in the side reflectors.

Sealed top eliminates light loss.

Advantages: • Reflection factor up to 95%. • Reflection factor 10-30% better than anodised aluminium.• Better controlled beam path.• Total lack of colour shifting on surfaces.• Reduction in unwanted diffused beam path. • The manufacturing process impacts less on the environment

than anodising.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT

INTERNAL BACK-UP

Our Customer Service team, across Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane deliver nationwide support from the first enquiry to delivery of the final luminaire on any given project, in addition to offering post-sales support where required.

When datasheets, technical drawings or installation instructions are needed these are also available from our Customer Service team, or via our website.

AUSTRALIAN MANUFACTURING

Through the relationship between Fagerhult and Eagle Lighting Australia, there is a commitment to ongoing manufacturing investment at our Melbourne facility. The concept of ‘Made in Australia’ is a principal upon which ELA can build for long-term success.

At our facility, we now have a seamless and efficient production line from manufacture, to assembly to distribution. The ability to manage the whole process allows for better quality control, better customisation, better production times, all of which provide better customer satisfaction backed by the assurance of local support.

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Our Engineers and Lighting Design Departments provide invaluable support to employees and customers. Using the latest CAD design software such as 3DS StudioMax and Solidworks, ideas can be brought to life in a virtual world prior to construction.

Our Engineering Dept. have the ability to develop a new luminaire from a concept or visualise change to an existing fixture. The obvious advantage being we see if a design works prior to manufacture. Parts including electrical components, air-boots, lamps and gear trays are simulated in a digital environment, long before the first piece of steel is punched and formed by our NC Turret machines.

Our Designers can replicate any proposed lighting layout, but also calculate and generate 3D computer generated images (CGI). Their designs reflect how any space might look, complete with luminaires and all the photometric data specific to the design.

We offer additional support to our customers by providing Revit & IES files via our website or through providers like AGi32.
