The old-fashioned, technology free activities are very popular with our 21st Century students! NEXT NEWSLETTER: Wednesday 23rd October

PSSA Touch FootballMullaway's Boys Touch Footy team took to the field oncemore to take on the might of Wauchope Public School onWednesday in the 6th round of the PSSA Knockoutcompetition. A heavy downpour the night before made the fielda little less forgiving than previous matches, but also raised thehazard of a swarm of insects buzzing around, just waiting to bebreathed in (Mr Neal swallowed no less than five of the wingedbeasts).

The first ten minutes of the match were evenly contested, andMullaway threatened to score a couple of times. We lookedthe better side, but Wauchope were fast, well organised andmanaged to hold us out. They peppered us in attack and brokeour lines a couple of times. We went in to half time, down 4-0.

To our credit, the boys regrouped and battled valiantly in thesecond half. Jax managed to break through the line to score arunaway try and the energy of our team lifted. But it was not tobe our day. Wauchope were just too strong. Final score: 9-1.

I can't emphasise enough how proud I am of all the boys. Wefinished equal 3rd in the North Coast (out of approximately 80competing schools). In every single game our team displayedfantastic sportsmanship, and even in defeat we congratulatedthe other team and held our heads up high.

Thank you to all parents who helped out with lifts and came outto cheer the boys along. We couldn't do it without you.
