About the MuleSoft corporate template
3
• Why? By using this template and following the brand guidelines we present a unified front in graphics and messaging
– Because the more of us working on the same page, the easier it will be to write our future success together
• This package contains instructions, resources, sample slides, and slide templates for creating your own presentation
– If you are preparing for a BrightTALK webinar, please see these guidelines
– To adapt to today’s landscape-oriented and high-definition monitors, the preferred format for MuleSoft corporate presentations is now 16:9 (13.3” X 7.5”)

Template guidelines
4
• This presentation template has been carefully designed to adhere to MuleSoft’s brand guidelines
• Do not alter the template elements on the master slides or color themes under any circumstances
– Presentations are frequently swapped between employees
– If the template is altered by any individual, incorrect slides will be propagated throughout many presentations
• For easiest use:
– Save this file as .PPTX file somewhere where you can easily find it & use it as your base for creating new slide decks
– Delete unused and instructional slides from final presentation

To copy/transfer slides between presentations of different aspect ratio (i.e. 4:3 to 16:9):
1. Select the slide content, not the slide
a. Hold down your shift key to select multiple items at once
b. Copy-paste the content into the new slide
2. Repeat this procedure slide by slide for all slides you want to reformatATTENTION: Copy-pasting the entire slide can cause graphics and images to get stretched horizontally, resulting in oddly shaped people, circles turned into ovals, distorted diagrams, etc.
3. For more information on size reformatting see FAQ

Capitalization, punctuation, and writing style
7
• Slide titles and bulleted text should be short and concise
– Do not modify the size of the text box
– Do not change the font size; consider shortening the text instead
• Slide titles, headers and bulleted text should ALL be written in sentence case (sentence case = only capitalize first words and proper nouns)
• Bullets (and numbered lists) should not have periods at the end
– Exception: If a single bullet entry includes more than one full sentence, then each sentence in that bullet entry requires a period, and all items in that bullet list also require periods to be consistent

Using drawing guides
8
• PowerPoint offers tools to help position objects on slides
• Guides allow you to precisely place objects on slides. To turn on guides:
– Go to View tab, in the Show group, check the Guides box
– This template is designed to align with these guides
• Ruler is often useful to have the turned on when using guides:
– Go to View tab, in the Show group, check the Ruler box
