We will enjoy supper at 5:30 p.m. and begin conversation at 6:00 p.m. Macon Outreach has also agreed to host a table to give voice to our friends who join us on Wednesday for lunch. Susan Dunn and Jeff Cook are identifying and training table hosts in preparation for this event. Mark your calendar now to attend this event on the evening of the 30th! Imagine the possibilities of joining with hundreds of citizens in middle Georgia to engage in conversation that can positively impact our community! After our event, each participant will have the opportunity fill out a survey. Survey results will be compiled and shared with community leaders to help them make informed decisions. In addition, grant money is available should your table be inspired to take on a project that can make a positive impact on our community. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Dunn ([email protected]) or Jeff Cook ([email protected]).

Mulberry Street UMC to Host Georgia United Methodist
Foundation Wills Seminar - October 24, 2019
On average, a person works more than 40 years to accumulate assets and spends ten years conserving what has been earned, but does not spend even two hours to plan for distribution of those assets. The chaos that often occurs following the death of a loved one can be burdensome.
This burden can be eased, however, through proper planning. A key element of proper planning is the implementation of an estate plan. The basic document in any such plan is a will. Many plans also include a trust.
On October 24, 2019, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 1:30 p.m. you will have a chance to learn how an estate plan can shape your family’s legacy and your church’s future. This free, informative seminar will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch will be served at a cost of $6.00 per person. RSVP by October 14 to Linda Parker at [email protected] or 745-8601.
Nancy Young of the Georgia United Methodist Foundation will lead the seminar and local attorney Jen Haskins will be available to answer legal questions. Please contact Rev. Jeff Cook at [email protected] or 745-8601 with any questions you might have about this seminar.
