    The agriculture industry is responsible for fulfilling humans'

    need for energy, and to some extent, shelter. In addition tofood crops and livestock, the industry includes field crops such

    as cotton or tobacco. Companies involved in support functions

    such as pest management, animal husbandry, or other

    management are also included in agriculture. This is a hugeindustry, which employs approximately 42 percent of the

    world's laborers, although it composes less than 5 percent of

    the combined GDPs of the world.

    Industrial agriculture is a form of modern farming that

    refers to the industrialized production of livestock,

    poultry, fish, and crops. The methods of industrial

    agriculture are technoscientific, economic, and political.They include innovation in agricultural machinery and

    farming methods, genetic technology, techniques for

    achieving economies of scale in production, the creation

    of new markets for consumption, the application ofpatent protection to genetic information, and global

    trade. These methods are widespread in developed

    nations and increasingly prevalent worldwide.

    MUGADMugad is located 10km from Dharwadcentre under the administration of the

    Zilla Panchayat. It is a large village and

    many studies have been carried outthere. A number of IDS staff live in this

    village and people were very familiar

    with the NGO staff. Here it is very poorliteracy rate.The agriculture production

    are Rice,Pulses,Cotton,Mangoes.
