The Sierra Scroll August 2016 Msgr. Conrad Gruber Assembly 3340 Faithful Navigator Sir Knights, As we move into the month of August, let us take a moment to honor the police throughout the country who put their lives on the line every time they put on their uniforms, especially those who were senselessly gunned down in Dallas, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them and their families. Last month, our officer’s installation was hosted by Msgr Conrad Gruber Assembly #3340. Dinner was prepared by Brother Joey Jacobson, aided by Keith Drueen, Les Brenner and Ed Mann. Dessert was offered by Pat McGuire of YLI. The dinner was a huge success, from main course to dessert. Thank you, Joey and Pat! I would encourage all assembly members to invite 4th degree members of your councils to come to our meetings every month. We need to grow our assembly, and our individual councils are our resource for finding new members. You should stress to them the guiding principle of the 4th degree, patriotism. Finally, your input at our meetings is needed and encouraged. Every voice counts, and all suggestions or any other points of interest will be given equal consideration. The approval for proposed actions by our assembly is not made by the officers of the council alone, but by all of our members. EVERY VOICE COUNTS, so please stand up and be heard. Once again, as we remember our fallen officers here at home, let us pray for the victims of Islamic terror across the world, that we may live in peace with all people of every nation and religion. We were all created in God's image, and we should pray for an end to these divisions. Yours in Christ, David Nagle, Faithful Navigator

Sir Knights, As we move into the month of August, let us take a moment to honor the police throughout the country who put their lives on the line every time they put on their uniforms, especially those who were senselessly gunned down in Dallas, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
