types of ingredients and their maximum concentrations enabling rapid identification of products. The full list

of ingredients is shown on the product package pursuant to Law 713/86, as amended.

HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION If it is used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions, the product is safe for people and for the environ- ment. In the event of misuse or accident the following information applies.

If splashed into the eyes, the undiluted product can cause eye irritation. If splashed on the skin or mucosa, the undiluted product can cause skin irritation. If ingested, it can cause moderate irritation of gastro-intestinal tract. If inhaled, it can cause modest irritation of respiratory system.

    FIRST-AID MEASURES

What to do in the event of:

Accidental contact with eyes: remove any contact lenses, rinse immediately with plenty of tepid water; if the irritation persists, contact a physician.

Accidental ingestion of large quantities: do not induce vomiting. Where appropriate, seek help from a poi- son centre or a physician.

Skin contact: wash skin immediately with plenty of water. If the irritation persists, contact a physician.

Massive inhalation in the event of aerosol: move the person to fresh air. If the discomfort persists, seek help from a poison centre or a physician.

    FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

If a fire breaks out, use water spray, chemical powder, carbon dioxide.

    ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Clean up the spilled products with sand, sawdust or rags, channel into appropriate disposal containers in accordance with applicable regulations. Wash contaminated areas with plenty of water. Never return the spil- led material to the original container. Never reuse spilled product.

    HANDLING AND STORAGE

Handling - Carefully follow the instructions on the package or on the leaflet / slip / tag attached. - Avoid any use other than that expected in the instructions. - Avoid mixtures with other products or similar products other than those specified in the relevant instruc- tions. - Never return the spilled material to the original containers in order to reuse the product. - Keep away from children.

Continuous exposure to cleaning agents (soap, shampoo, liquid detergents) for professional purposes may cause depletion of hydrolipidic film and stratum corneum, which form a natural barrier for the skin. Depletion of this barrier may result in skin injuries, thus leaving the skin more exposed to external agents. Under this circumstance, if other products normally used in the professional activity are handled without taking adequate precautions (e.g. gloves or specific PPE), then intolerance may arise, which may worsen over time.

  • rev. 05 on 05/2013

Storage Store in dry and well ventilated places (room temperature). Do not store nor use the product near open flames, heat sources, electrical appliances, or direct sunlight. Make sure product storage temperature is not lower than 5C and not higher than 40C. After using the product, properly close container.

    PERSONAL PROTECTION/ EXPOSURE CONTROL

Where the employer identifies hazards that cannot be avoided with other means, he / she is obliged to pro- vide workers with adequate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) (article 43 of Legislative Decree - D.Lgs.- 626/94). PPE must comply with the regulations defined in D.Lgs 475/92 (article D.Lgs 626/94). Use of PPE provided by the employer is compulsory (articles 5 and 44 of D.Lgs 626/94).

    More specifically:

    - during all application, manipulation, and final rinse stages, use disposable plastic gloves; - use accurately cleaned tools; - avoid nickel-plated tools; - do not wear costume jewellery.

The work place must be adequately ventilated, possibly with mechanical fresh-air recirculation (article 9, Presidential Decree D.P.R. 303/56, as amended by article 33 of D.Lgs. 626/94). Areas that are subject to vapour, gas, and dust emissions or to substance spilling must be separated and equipped with local suction or collection systems (articles 20 and 21, D.P.R. 303/56).

    PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

    Appearance: Creamy

    Colour: From white to purple

Odour: Depending on the fragrance mixed with ammonia and/or amines

    pH: 8.00 - 11.5

    STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Product remains stable at room temperature.

    DISPOSAL INFORMATION

Disposal of cosmetic products is governed by the applicable regulations, that is D.Lgs. 22/97 (Decreto Ronchi), as amended.

For disposal purposes, non-hazardous waste from handicraft activities (for hairdressers' or beauty salons, used empty bottles and containers) may be treated as urban waste if the relevant municipal administration has enforced the provisions specified in article 21 of D.Lgs. 22/97 (Decreto Ronchi) which lists the powers of municipal administrations.

Under the Legislative Decree of 11 May, 1999, no. 152, as lastly amended by the Legislative Decree of 18 September, 2000, no. 218, concerning water protection, hairdressing businesses are qualified as civil settle- ments and their wastewater may poured down the drain as is, provided they comply with the regulations issued by the local authorities (e.g. Municipal Administrations and Consortia) managing public sewage.

    REGULATORY INFORMATION

Finished cosmetics are manufactured and marketed pursuant to Law 713/86, as amended. Finished cosmetics are explicitly excluded from the scope of national and EC legislation concerning dange- rous preparations.

The need for workers to be included in a health assessment programme (pre-employment and regular medi- cal examinations) must be evaluated by the competent occupational Physician based on the specific kno- wledge of the risk situation (articles 16 and 17 D.Lgs. 626/94). Workers are required to undergo health assessment as prescribed by the competent occupational Physician (article 5, D.Lgs 626/94).

This information refers to the current state of our knowledge. Any information provided on the data sheet, relating to composition and chemical-physical properties, is provided exclusively for proper handling and use of the product and for any emergency actions.
