Topics to be covered
As part of a new initiative to expand research training for junior investigators engaged in academic research, we are conducting a series of research methods and data analysis based workshops. Most research work require students to develop a familiarity with methodologies outside of their home discipline. This program introduces research scholars/faculty members to key concepts, terminology and techniques in the various methodologies.
What is the importance of data analysis - instead, one should say what is not important about data analysis. Merely analyzing data isn't sufficient from the point of view of making a decision. How does one interpret from the analyzed data is more important. Thus, data analysis is not a decision making system, but decision supporting system and this initiative will help to fill the gap.
The workshop adopts a problem solving approach which would include lecture and group work sessions. The focus would be to undertake empirical research based setting which includes advanced /professional statistical techniques, overview of SPSS, data analysis and interpretation of results. Interactive learning sessions would focus on "how to do" analysis with SPSS. The workshop aims in understanding the applications and issues pertaining to Research in respective domains of participants. In addition there is a need to learn some basic principles, which require knowledge of introductory statistics and computing software with application.
This workshop will provide participants with practical experience with a variety of analysis tools to help them to make decisions appropriate to the research situation.
VISION BENEFITS TO THE INDIVIDUAL
BENEFITS TO THE RESEARCH GUIDE
• The program will benefit the participant to do data analysis and rule out dependency on Statistician.• Real data analysis and interpretation of results• SPSS software and E-book on SPSS (demo 24 ver)• Program material on 800 or so Slides• Participant's competency enrichment to uphold their market value in cut throat competitive paradigm.
• The trained research scholar will be available to
them at least two/three years to help in their
research.
• In addition, he/she will help other students in the
group for analysis and interpretation of results
• This will also help to ensure research data
integrity, which is now shared to other teacher/
outsider professionals.
• Skill development, academic progression with multi-phasic benefits to stakeholders, students, teachers and resultant university/institution ranking.
