Composite Classes• Classes organised by age and gender.• All classes planned for at beginning of each term.• Aim to ensure continuity of experiences and outcomes

whether P2/3 or P3 or P1/2.• Teaching approaches may differ but outcomes are the

same.• Teachers teach in ability groups no matter which class

children are in.• Teachers can be flexible in their teaching of outcomes –

not always textbook based or the same as other classes.

End of Session ReportThe reporting format is same across Fife.Parents will be informed of levels in literacy & numeracy -• Early, First, Second, Third etc • These levels will be in learning logs

Parents will be informed of coverage of level -• Developing, Consolidating or Secure• These words will be used in learning logsProgress & effort /application in literacy, numeracy & health & wellbeing

and written comments will be provided. Computer format only allows two lines to comment.

General progress will be indicated by ticking boxes in all other curricular areas.
