Mrs. Sandy Kenny is a woman whose dedication to Christian service was exemplified through her commitment to Christian education. Through the years, Mrs. Kenny’s service to education through biblical perspectives was first carried out at Landmark Christian School where she taught computer applications and was the librarian. When Landmark closed, she brought her son, JD, to MCS and spent his high school years volunteering in the Booster Club and as a substitute teacher. In the ensuing years, she became President of the Boosters and led that organization to providing scholarships and a variety of equipment for the athletic program at MCS. Those who worked with her speak of her steady drive and dependable work ethic. “Sandy is always ready and willing to lend a hand to any group who needs help.” In 2010, she joined the MCS faculty teaching computer skills, algebra, and yearbook. She became a major factor in organizing activities such as: Boosters, Junior/Senior Banquet, Homecoming, Yearbook management, and various MCS fundraisers. Many students have talked about Mrs. Kenny’s talents in designing activities, projects, and even tests to young peoples’ interests. She was a positive force of faith in the lives of her students. She taught with a flair for inspiring the students to creativity and imagination, but always doing so with the Word of God as her guide. Highly talented, but always teaching and working with a humble spirit, Sandy Kenny has a knack for achieving the vision of her goals for herself and her students.
