Parent notification will be made after the 2nd day late, or if a pattern of late work is occurring.

• I will get out material needed for the class.

• How should I get Mr. Anthis’s attention if I need it?
• Silently hold up my hand
• Mr. Anthis will ignore me if I VERBALLY attempt to get his attention—even if I am raising my hand.

• How will I know and what should I do if Mr. Anthis needs my undivided attention?
• Mr. Anthis will raise his arm and I will immediately get quiet and do the same.
• I will keep my eyes on Mr. Anthis.
• I will wait for instruction and keep listening as long as Mr. Anthis is talking.

• What should I do when I am tardy?
• Place pass on Mr. Anthis’s desk.
• Go directly to my seat without talking to Mr. Anthis or anyone else in class.
• Copy down TALE, answer warmup question, and wait for instructions.

• What if I need to sharpen my pencil, borrow class supplies, or need a tissue?
• I will sharpen pencils BEFORE class begins.
• Pencils may be sharpened as long as Mr. Anthis is not speaking.
• I will raise my hand to ask to leave my seat to use supplies, tissue, or hand sanitizer.

• What should I do when forgot required supplies?
• Borrow supplies from Mr. Anthis designated supply area BEFORE class or AFTER Mr. Anthis is no longer speaking.

• How should I move around the room?
• Only with permission am I to be out of my seat.
• Quickly, quietly get where I’ve been directed to go.

• What if I would like to use one of my hall passes?
• Fill-out, then hold up my hall pass in the air ONLY if Mr. Anthis is not speaking.
• If it is an appropriate time, Mr. Anthis will sign my pass.
• Hall passes CANNOT be used the first 10 minutes of class OR the last 10 minutes of class

• What should I do if I finish an assignment early?
• I should ALWAYS have a book to read silently.
• If there is another assignment for Mr. Anthis’s class that needs to be completed, I can do that.
• After checking with Mr. Anthis, I can work on assignments for another class.

• What do I do when I am absent?
• Talk to Mr. Anthis BEFORE or AFTER school.
• Email me to let me know you’re absent
• Check for handouts/assignments in green file bin.
• It is YOUR responsibility to do make-up work!

• What should I do during an emergency procedure like a fire drill?
• Be silent throughout• Move in a single-file
line• Give Mr. Anthis your
undivided attention• Turn left and walk
out the double doors to field

• Move to far back wall and remain silent
• No cell phone usage

• Can we use our cell phones?
• Red Zone – majority of class time I will not need or use my cell phone.
• Green Zone – I can use it for the “kahoot” review game or various activities related to educational technology
• Mr. Anthis will communicate to me when I need it for class.
• How are we dismissed?
• Mr. Anthis will tell you when to begin clean up
• Make sure all supplies are packed
• Make sure all trash and paper are properly disposed
• Typically there will be a closure activity (ex: exit ticket).

• I will follow ROAR and SLANT at all times.
• I will do my best and show effort even when its hard.
