PHILOSOPHYAs we work toward being successful on the court, we will not lose sight of
the important task we have in developing the character of our
players. Basketball is the common ground we use to help our players become better, more productive,
and stronger young men.

Rules
• A Mountain Lion will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do
• A Mountain Lion will not do anything detrimental to themselves, their family, or their team
*Punishment will be based on severity*
Player Expectation• Character
– Be a leader and a man of integrity, both on and off the court.– Work hard at every drill during every scrimmage and at all
games. Get better every day!• Practice
– Be on time to every practice– Be disciplined, respectful, and pay attention at all times during
practice.• Game Attire
– Keep the jerseys clean and undamaged– Socks will be provided
Parent Expectations• Maus Parent Expectations and Standards
– Be involved in a positive way by attending your child’s games as often as you can. Cheer for all of the kids on the team, and be supportive of the school staff, coaches, and referees.
• Please don’t coach your player during the game. Encourage him!– Please understand that it may be confusing for a child to hear different
coaching points during a game.
• Respect the officials.– Remember, the official is doing the best he/she can do. Please respect their
work.
• Playing time– If there is ever any concern with playing time or any other issue, please
encourage your child to speak openly with the coach. We want the best for your child, and we are open to discuss any concern with him.

ALL OF THE ABOVE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
GAME DAY ATTIRE
• Athletes will be expected to dress up – (ex: Game Day Shirts / Dress Pants / Nice Shirt)
• Jerseys and Socks will be provided
• Shoes must be:– School Colors (Maroon or Navy)– White (Majority)– Black (Majority)
HOME GAMES• A & B Team Athletes will be able to go home
directly after school– (If you have a Quizno’s meal – you will get it right after school)
• There will be a set time for athletes to be back at Maus– If they do not make this time they will lose playing
time in the game that night
*Athletes are encouraged to stay and support the other teams*
AWAY GAMES• All athletes will stay after school and attend
study hall – This will give the athletes time to complete school
work– If you do not use our Quizno's meal, please send athletes with a packed lunch
to eat right after school or bring something to the front office by 3:25 p.m.
• Both Grade Levels will have a bus
*Athletes are encouraged to stay and support the other teams*
SIGN OUTS• Athletes will be required to have a signed note
or send an email from a parent/guardian before a coach will let that athlete leave from an away game
• Athletes must return jersey by the next day if signed out.

CONCESSIONSPlease sign up if you would like to volunteer!
This is a great way to get involved and schedules will be coordinated so you do not have to miss your athlete’s game.
If everyone commits to one game, you would only have to serve one game! It will take the pressure
off of everyone else.
