I have enjoyed listening to the children’s holiday stories; relaxing at home, going to the movies (Oddball is a favourite), fami- ly holidays, going to the Royal Show, playing with school friends and vaca- tion care activities. We welcome four new students and their families to the school; Nicolas in kindy, Jackson year 1, Willem year 2 and Scott year 6. During the holidays I had my first experience doing “Show Parking”. SPORT NEWS
Interschool Athletics Carnival
Towards the end of last term Mount Claremont students from year 3-6 competed in the Interschool Athletics Car-nival at Swanbourne Primary School. Once again there were many outstanding performances and the sports-manship displayed was exemplary as per usual.
Mount Claremont finished 6th in the overall and Meritorious shields. Given the small size of our school we al-ways punch well above our weight division and there were many huge efforts put in during training and on the carnival day. I would like to congratulate all of our students as well as our parents who assisted with training during Term 3, in particular Nicky Lester who organised all training sessions brilliantly.
