You can choose to specialize in one type of vehicle or aspect of repair, or get prepared for all makes and models. You’ll learn the disassembly and reassembly of mechanical and electrical systems, learn how to research service information in manuals or computer-based programs, and you’ll use a wide variety of hand tools and diagnostic equipment. The job outlook is positive and continues to grow. SCC is the Right Choice Our Motorcycle, ATV & Personal Watercraft Technology program is the only one like it in the state of Nebraska. • Graduates gain the experience and knowledge needed to work on all makes and models of power sports crafts, including motorcycles, UTV, ATV, and watercraft machines. • The one-year program length allows you to achieve your goals quickly. The skill and knowledge foundation you develop will be useful in nearly all technician fields. • Our hands-on approach ensures you will understand the complex principles and theories incorporated into today’s vehicles by working on machines donated by industry partners • Lab activities often involve working with local service and repair shops and local vehicle owners to give you the experience of working on the latest technology as well as a basic understanding of older models needing repair • SCC continues to increase training on agricultural-support equipment such as utility terrain vehicles. This type of vehicle, and the demand for those that repair them, is steadily rising. • Our program is located on the Milford Campus, close to other transportation- related programs, tools and equipment Consistently placing in the top 10 in the nation and podium finishers three times in the past five years, our program has enjoyed great success in the National SkillsUSA competitions for many years.
