The Sensex resumed higher at 31,160.47 and firmed up to a high of 31,182.73 in view of higher global cues. However, it read 31,103.30 at 12.13pm, a gain of 27.57 points, or 0.09%. The NSE 50- share Nifty moved up marginally by 6.40 points, or 0.07%, to 9,584.45. The big gainers were ITC 1.66%, along with Tata Motors, M&M, GAIL and Coal India. However, Lupin fell by 3.75%. Dr Reddy’s Lab, Wipro, Cipla and Sun Pharma, too, retreated. Overseas, most Asian stocks were trading higher. US stocks fell for the fourth time in five days as selling in technology shares resumed. Meanwhile, foreign funds sold shares net Rs645.35 crore on Thursday, as per the provisional figures. Oil equipment companies were trading higher. GOL Offshore Ltd rose 20%, Aban Offshore Ltd rose 7.4%, Dolphin Offshore Enterprises India Ltd rose 13%, Oil Country Tubular Ltd rose 18%. Tata Motors Ltd rose 1.5% to Rs 455. Tata Motors Ltd and two other group entities will sell a 43% stake in Tata Technologies Ltd to an affiliate of US-based private equity firm Warburg Pincus Llc for $360 million (Rs2,231 crore), seeking to raise funds to reduce debt. Ipca Laboratories Ltd fell 15% to Rs437 after the company said in a notice to BSE that it received communications from US drug regulator (USFDA) stating that all the drugs manufactured from its units situated at SEZ Indore and Piparia manufacturing facilities will be refused admission in the US until it demonstrates that the drugs manufactured from these manufacturing sites and intended for the US market are in compliance with CGMP. With inflation still distant from its target, the Bank of Japan maintained its promise to keep pouring stimulus into the economy, days after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates and set out more details of its plan to normalize policy. The BOJ will continue to manage the yield curve through a negative interest rate and buying trillions of yen worth of bonds, it said in a statement Friday. The result was expected by all 43 economists surveyed by Bloomberg. Crude held losses near a seven-month low, gold slid more than 1.5 percent and base metals continue falter. However, softening commodity prices did little bolster arguments that inflation will pick up the pace, even as the U.S. labour market remains on strong footing – raising the spectre that central officials made a policy error. The initial public offer (IPO) of Eris Lifesciences got subscribed 2 per cent on the first day of the offer. The public offer received bids for 2,72,352 shares against the total issue size of 1,59,48,750 shares, data available with the NSE till 11.30 am showed. Shares of India’s first listed pureplay gaming company, Delta Corp, have surged nearly 180 per cent in last 16 months to Rs 161.25 as of June 16, 2017 from Rs 57.70 in February 2016. US stocks weakened overnight, as the Nasdaq led losses on Wall Street with a 0.5 per cent drop, dragged lower by shares including Apple and Alphabet, which tumbled on bearish analysts' reports. Things to know before Eris Lifesciences IPO –
Eris Lifesciences is an Ahmedabad-based pharma company which was incorporated in January, 2007.
The company develops, manufactures and commercialises branded pharmaceutical products for chronic lifestyle disorders with a complete focus on domestic market.
It owns and operates a manufacturing facility in Guwahati, Assam and also outsources the manufacturing of certain products to 20 third party manufacturers.
FINANCIALS:
Eris is a debt free company and has been investing its cash flows in the liquid investments. It posted 16.5% revenue and 43% PAT CAGR over FY13-17.
The EBITDA margins increased from 19.4% in FY2014 to 37.1% in FY2017. In the last two years, RoE has been healthy at 44% as against its MNC peers having RoE of 10%- 18%.
The pharma major purchased 75.5% stake in a musculoskeletal disorder focused pharma company Kinedex for Rs 77.2crore.
