They are distinguished bya really palatial magnificence of vestibules andunderground halls. Stations of thecapital Metro are themonuments of architecture inseparably linked with history of Moscow andthewhole country in which all stages of development of national architecture were embodied. "Mayakovskaya" is considered one of themost beautiful stations. "Revolution Square", "Kropotkinskaya", "Komsomolskaya" (belt-line), "Novoslobodskaya" andothers are considered themost interesting architectural monumentsof 1930—50 th .Over twenty kinds ofmarble, labradorite, granite, porphyry, rhodonite, onyx andother breeds of building stone were used in Moscow Metro construction. Underground complexes are decorated bystatues andreliefs, monumental anddecoration compositions (painting, mosaic, stained-glass windows and lists) of art directors of the country.
