Shopacheck had been managing regulatory training using NetDimensions Learning as their Learning Management System (LMS) for eight years before the merger. Morses Club, decided to implement NetDimensions Learning across the entire newly- combined organisation. Meeting strict FCA compliance requirements Morses Club is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), which regulates financial firms providing services to consumers in the UK. This means that all employees and agents have to be fully compliant and up-to-date with the latest legal and regulatory requirements. Morses Club uses NetDimensions Learning for all regulatory training, covering topics such as the Data Protection Act and the Consumer Credit Act. This means that Morses Club is able to demonstrate to the FCA that employees and agents are fully trained and regularly being assessed for their competency. Morses Club has an annual training cycle, which all staff and agents need to complete. Course completion is tracked at the end of each month. Morses Club has submitted the content of their training programmes and details on the type of training to the FCA. In addition, the company produces monthly reports to monitor the course completion and to make sure all staff and agents have passed the required tests. This whole process is being managed using NetDimensions Learning. “While the LMS was mainly introduced for regulatory training, we’ve expanded our use of the solution. We use it now for new employees, starting from their induction paperwork before they even join the company. Once they are onboard, we give them full access to the system and launch a programme for their induction training. This allows us to track new employees’ progress, from the time they launch their induction modules until they’ve completed their probation review. We accomplish all of this using NetDimensions Talent Suite,” explained Steve Wright, Head of Learning and Development at Morses Club. Training for the dispersed workforce Morses Club has a dispersed workforce which is spread all over the country. The ability to access training from any PC, tablet, or phone allows a greater level of flexibility. The company is about to provide Samsung Galaxy tablets to their agents and staff. Shortly, all 2500 agents will be able to access the NetDimensions Talent Suite remotely, and take their training on tablets or via smartphones, using the NetDimensions Talent Slate app. from anywhere in the country, any time of the day. Integrated Learning and Performance Management Morses Club also uses NetDimensions Performance to manage performance reviews for 600 employees. Before the company implemented NetDimensions Performance, all reviews were paper-based, which was very time-consuming and difficult to manage. Following the merger with Shopacheck on 1 March 2015, Morses Club has become the largest independent home credit provider in the UK. With a strong heritage of over 150 years, Morses Club has almost 100 local branches with c.600 employees and c.2500 agents. This extensive branch and agent network enables the company to provide cash loans to the majority of the UK market.
