Tips • If car topping an Optimist, remove the air bags to prevent them chaffing at the straps or flying out of the boat. • An Optimist needs to be secured from sliding back out of the straps holding it to the car or trailer. • If taking an Optimist up into the mountains, like Huntington Lake, deflate the air bags or they will pop. • When collecting the boat take note of the sail number as you will need it to register for the event.
