• The 2 band between 680-725 cm-1 is sensitive mainly to CO2 in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere

• The radiance in the spectral regions 970-990 and 1070-1110 cm-1 is sensitive to changes in CO2 in the middle and lower troposphere
