Complete Mooring System

Mooreast is able to provide a complete mooring system withthe necessary class approvals for our customers, dependingon the applications and operating conditions.

We will work with the customers on the primaryconsiderations for mooring which include the soil type ofseabed, speed and direction of wind/wave/ current, waterdepth, the dimensions and weight of vessel to be moored.

These data and information will be collected and analyzed toassist in the design of the mooring system based on thesuitable grade, size and weight of the respective mooringcomponents such as connector, anchor, chain and etc.

Mooreast recognizes the purchase of the complete mooringsystem can be capital intensive especially if the customers aredeploying them for urgent and short term mooringoperations. Thus, we are able to offer rental packages of thecomplete mooring system to help our customers save costand time.

MA5P Anchor

The Mooreast MA5P anchor is designed to accommodate a wide range of soil types. The MA5Panchor is among the highest holding power anchors available in the market.

The key features of the anchor are the large fluke area and slender open twin shank which willresult in minimum soil disturbance and deep penetration. The anchor head and padeyes on thefluke are also designed for regular anchor handling and easy retrieval.

In addition, the MA5P anchor is able to penetrate fast into the soils and can withstandconsiderable uplift loads under the soft seabed conditions. Internal ballast can be added toenhance the penetrative ability of the anchor if required. 3 respective angles (32°, 41°, 50°)between the fluke and shank, can be easily adjusted to suit the various soil conditions.

Wire Rope and Synthetic Rope

Mooreast supplies the common types of steel wire ropes such as the spiral strand wire rope and sixstrand wire rope. Depending on the application, spiral strand wire rope has higher strength toweight ratio as compared to six strand wire rope which has higher elasticity and greater flexibility. These wire ropes will come with the galvanized coating and also wire rope sockets, in order toconnect to the other mooring components.

We also supplies synthetic ropes which are mainly made of polyester or high modulus polyethylenein parallel strand construction. They have higher resistance to abrasion, UV and chemicalinteractions. These ropes also possess uniform strength under both wet and dry conditions. Therefore, they are mainly used as mooring hawsers for deep water mooring.
