VISION The vision of the Monument Academy Parent Teacher Organiza-
tion’s Green4Green Campaign is to replace the existing on site
dirt field with a usable recreation area that all students will en-
joy and have fond memories of their outdoor play time.
MISSION To create a safe, inclusive and user friendly recreation area for
MA students through collaborative efforts by MA’s administra-
tion, school board, teachers, students, MA PTO and the commu-
nity
INSPIRATION The inspiration for the recreation area is the nearly 900 MA
students who currently play on a hard packed dirt surface,
which restricts the extent to which they are able to play out-
doors. The surface becomes unusable after rainy weather re-
sulting in pools of retained water and mud. This adverse situa-
tion remains for several days after inclement weather because
of poor drainage.
Monument Academy sets the gold standard in providing nu-
merous opportunities for its student to excel academically.
The success of MA PTO Green4Green Campaign will enhance
MA’s ability to offer outdoor recreational areas and most im-
portantly expand the physical, emotional and social opportuni-
ties for its students.
PROJECTED RECREATION AREA CONFIGURATION AND DETAILS

walk

ground area
