This August, we have been parti- cipating of the Chinese Robotics Challen- ge, held in China. And there we were pleased to be finalists of this great and fascinating competition. The event that happened in Shenzhen, one of the lar- gest and most important cities of the country, located north of Hong Kong, brought together the best teams from China, United States and Australia. In addition to our team which was chosen to represent Latin America. With much effort, our team has excelled and got one of the best awards that the team has ever won: the title of vice-champion. The event that was organized by the China Urban Youth Robotics Alliance (CUYRA) - a non-profit organization established in Hong Kong, which strives to promote the teaching of science, engineering and technology - was the same style and mo- del of competition we participate earlier this year, 2015, organized by the FIRST Robotics Competition. Following the principles of the game Recycle Rush, the Chinese competition has only a few changes in its rules; the main goal of the game is still the same: stacking totes and bins on top of a platform: the more stacked totes, the higher score. The competition was very exciting and at the end of it we had the opportu- nity to have as one of our partners one of the best Australian teams which is co- ordinated by our mentors Jeser Becker and Daiane Rodrigues. Together, we join forces and talents to win our great title. Team 1772 and Australia ’ s team 4613 together winning the finalists award Robot in China ’ s Competition

All students that had participated in some stage of the UsFIRST competition are apt to educational scholarships abroad. For more information visit: http://www.usfirst.org/aboutus/scholarships Students of the team who are in high school have also been privile-ged with scholarships for the training of young people in large institutions of the country, for example, the “Fundação Estudar” that awarded two te-am members with scholarships in the “Jovens For a de Série” program. We also have students who received scholarships for technical courses in institutions such as SENAI and SENAC.
