PECIS ACTIVITIES
1. Atty Jason T Matoza, Legal Officer and Ms Rogelette T Urgel, PIO/Chief PECIS of PDEA RO8
conducted a lecture on Drug-Free Workplace Program for Government Agencies and the
Salient Feature of RA 9165 among the employees of SSS Ormoc Branch from 3:30 PM- 5:30
PM on 18th of October 2018.
2. Atty Jason T Matoza, Legal Officer and Ms Rogelette T Urgel, PIO/Chief PECIS of this office
conducted a Drug Awareness Symposium and the Salient Features of RA 9165 at 802nd
Infantry (Peerless) Brigade, 8ID, PA Camp Jorge Downes, Ormoc City from 1:00 PM- 3:00 PM
on 18th of October 2018.
3. Another segment for the PDEA RO8 Teleradyo program dubbed as “SAGUBAY” anchored by
Dir. Edgar T Jubay aired live over IBC6 and Idol FM from 9:00-10:00 AM every Saturday. The
said program has also its livestreaming via Pdea Otso Facebook Account. On October 13, 2018,
the topic centered on the different activities conducted by this office in its campaign against
illegal drugs, the issues on recycling of drugs seized, ambush of PDEA Agents in ARMM and
other issues.
4. Ms Rogelette T Urgel, PIO/ Chief, PCEIS of PDEA RO8 conducted a lecture on the ill-effects of
Drug Abuse, Drug Identification and the Salient Feature of RA 9165 among the NSTP Students
of Holy Infant College Composed of Thirty-three (33) males and One Hundred (100) females
from 9:30 PM- 11:00 PM on 6th of October 2018.
5. Dir. Edgar T Jubay, attended the RPOC meeting which attended by the members of
the organization, held at the City Mayor’s Office Board Room, Tacloban City from
0900- 1100H on 1st of October 2018. The topics discussed were the Peace and Order
situation in Tacloban City, Balay Silangan and Data Reconciliation of Drug Surrenderers
(New Beginnings).
A. PECIS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PDEA RO8- LEYTE PROVINCIAL OFFICE
1. Ms Rogelette T Urgel, Information Officer III/ Chief, PECIS of PDEA RO8
conducted a lecture on the National Drug Situation, Brgy. Drug Clearing Program
and the Salient Features of R.A. 9165 to BADAC members of Tabon-Tabon, leyte
held at the Municipal Gymnasium of the said Municipality on the 25th of October
2018 from 9:00 AM to 11:00AM.
2. IAV Alex M Tablate, Acting Deputy Regional Director of PDEA RO8, conducted a
lecture on the National Drug Situation, Brgy. Drug Clearing Program and the Salient
Features of R.A. 9165 to BADAC members of Ormoc City Leyte held at the Multi-
purpose Hall, Ormoc City Hall.
3. Ms Rogelette T Urgel, Information Officer III/ Chief, PECIS of PDEA RO8 conducted
a lecture on the National Drug Situation, Brgy. Drug Clearing Program and the
Salient Features of R.A. 9165 to BADAC members of Barugo, Leyte held at the
Municipal Gymnasium of the said Municipality on the 29th of October 2018 from
9:00 AM to 11:00AM.
4. At around 8:00AM of October 30, 2018, joint teams of PDEA LPO, PDEA Biliran PO,
PDEA K9 Unit spearheaded by IA1 Cleveland S Villamor, Assistant Provincial Officer
of PDEA LPO conducted OPLAN “UNDASPOT” on the ports of Ormoc City, Baybay
City, Hilongos and Bato, Leyte in collaboration with MARINA, Philippine Port
Authority and Philippine Coastguard.
5. At around 9:00AM of October 29, 2018, members of PDEA Leyte Provincial Office
(LPO) team led by IA1 CLEVELAND S. VILLAMOR, Assistant Provincial Officer, Leyte
PO, attended the Strengthening of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils Rollout
held at Evacuation Facility, Hindang, Leyte.
6. At around 3:00PM of October 29, 2018, members of PDEA Leyte Provincial Office
(LPO) team led by IA1 CLEVELAND S. VILLAMOR, Assistant Provincial Officer, Leyte
PO, attended the 3-Day School Based Drug Awareness Seminar held at Dulag
National High School Cultural Hall, Dulag, Leyte.
7. At around 9:00AM of October 18, 2018, IA1 Cleveland S. Villamor, Acting Assistant
Provincial Officer, Leyte Provincial Office and IO1 Sheila Jervoso attended as guest
speaker for the Conduct of Strengthening the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils
(BADAC’s) and the Barangay Councils for the Protection of Children (BCPC’s)
Training Workshop held at Sabin Resort Hotel, Ormoc City.
B. PECIS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PDEA RO8- SOUTHERN LEYTE PROVINCIAL OFFICE
1. At about 9:00 o’clock in the morning of October 22, 2018, IA1 Jordan C.
Lunesa, Acting Provincial Officer, PDEA SLPO attended the BADAC Enhanced
Strengthening Seminar at the municipality of Macrohon, Southern Leyte that
was led and facilitated by the DILG. The said activity was attended by BADAC
members, BADAC Auxillary team, Chief Tanods and NGO’s.
C. PECIS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PDEA RO8- WESTERN SAMAR PROVINCIAL OFFICE
1. On October 27, 2018 at around 1:00PM, IAV Ma. Rhea Oledan together with Ms.
Ma. Ivy Lim attended the Brgy. General Assembly Day facilitated by the Barangay
official of Brgy. Balud Calbayog City held at Basketball court, Brgy. Balud,
Calbayog City.
2. On October 26, 2018 at around 1:30PM, IAV Ma. Rhea Oledan together with
AGENT JERUM CHIQUILLO attended the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program
(CBRP) Graduation Rites facilitated by LGU of Calbayog City in partnership with the
CSWDO and CDAPRO, held at Parish Formation Center, Calbayog City. The activity
was graced by City Mayor, Hon. Ronald P. Aquino wherein she gave an
inspirational message before the participants and graduates of the CBRP. In
addition, the COP of Calbayog City, heads and representative from CDAPRO,
CSWDO, DILG, Religious sectors and Barangay Officials from the twenty nine (7)
affected barangays of this city.
3. On October 24, 2018 at around 11:00 o’clock in the morning, Ms Ma. Ivy Lim had
a short meeting with the CDAPRO personnel Ms. Vilma Seragon and Mr Paul
Guades together with Ms Elma Pampanga the brgy. official of Brgy. Payahan at
PDEA RO8- Samar Provincial Office concerning the invitation of the CBRP
Graduation Rites on October 26, 2018, Friday, 1:30 in the afternoon at Parish
formation Center, the barangays who have a completers of CBRP namely:
barangay Aguit itan (1), Bagacay (9), Carmen (6), Central (1), Dagum (6, East Awang
(1), Payahan (14) and West Awang (1).
4. On October 24, 2018, on or about 7:40AM, joint elements of PDEA RO8-SPO, Agent Jerum
Chiquillo, PDEA RO8- K9 Units led by Agent Jid Ryan San Andres and Chemist Gildo
Mejarito and BJMP Calbayog City conduct Search & Seizure in the Facility of Catbalogan
City District Jail located at Brgy. Lagundi, Catbalogan City.
5. On October 23, 2018, at around 11:30 o’clock in the morning, Ms Ma. Ivy Lim had
a short meeting with SPO3 Chona Avila and Mohamad Juban of Gandara MPS, at
PDEA RO8- Samar Provincial Office concerning the on-going Barangay Drug
Clearing Program being implemented by the Office within their municipality and
they submitted twenty-four (24) BDCO unaffected barangay folders. During the
meeting, final updates upcoming schedule of the affected barangays declaration
of Gandara, Samar was discussed.
D. PECIS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PDEA RO8- BILIRAN PROVINCIAL OFFICE
1. Ms Rogelette T Urgel, Information Officer III/Chief, PECIS of PDEA RO8 conducted a
lecture on the National Drug Situation, Brgy. Drug Clearing Program and the Salient
Features of R.A. 9165 to BADAC members of Maripipi Island, Biliran held at the said
island on the 31st of October 2018.
2. Ms Rogelette T Urgel, Information Officer III/Chief, PECIS of PDEA RO8 conducted a
lecture on the National Drug Situation, Brgy. Drug Clearing Program and the Salient
Features of R.A. 9165 to BADAC members of Biliran, Biliran held at the said island on
the 29th of October 2018.
3. Ms Rogelette T Urgel, Information Officer III/Chief, PECIS of PDEA RO8 conducted a
lecture on the National Drug Situation, Brgy. Drug Clearing Program and the Salient
Features of R.A. 9165 to BADAC members of Caibiran, Biliran held at the Civic Center
in Naval, Biliran on the 25th of October 2018.
4. IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta IV conducted a lecture on the National Drug Situation,
Brgy. Drug Clearing Program and the Salient Features of R.A. 9165 to one-hundred
fourteen (114) BADAC members composed of sixty-one (61) male and fifty-three (53)
female coming from seventeen (17) barangays of Culaba, Biliran, during the
“Strengthening of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council” held at the Civic Center in
Culaba, Biliran on the 25th of October 2018.
5. IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta IV together with Ms Rogelette T Urgel, Information Officer
III/ Chief, PECIS of PDEA RO8 conducted a lecture on the National Drug Situation, Brgy.
Drug Clearing Program and the Salient Features of R.A. 9165 to BADAC members of
Caibiran, Biliran held at the Civic Center in Caibiran, Biliran on the 24th of October
2018.
6. On October 12, 2018, around 8:30 o’clock in the morning, IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta
IV, as the representative of PDEA in the ADAC Audit Team, participated in the
audit/evaluation of the performance/functionality of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council
(ADAC) of the Municipality of Naval, Biliran.
7. On October 8, 2018, around 9:00 o’clock in the morning, IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta
IV, as the representative of PDEA in the ADAC Audit Team, participated in the
audit/evaluation of the performance/functionality of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council
(ADAC) of the Municipality of Kawayan, Biliran.
8. On October 9, 2018, around 9:15 o’clock in the morning, IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta
IV, as the representative of PDEA in the ADAC Audit Team, participated in the
audit/evaluation of the performance/functionality of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council
(ADAC) of the Municipality of Culaba, Biliran.
9. On October 5, 2018, around 9:00 o’clock in the morning, IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta
IV, as the representative of PDEA in the ADAC Audit Team, participated in the
audit/evaluation of the performance/functionality of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council
(ADAC) of the Municipality of Cabucgayan, Biliran.
10. On October 17, 2018, 9:00 o’clock in the morning, IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta IV
attended the meeting of the ADAC Performance Audit Team at the DILG Biliran
Provincial Office in Naval, Biliran for the consolidation of results of the 2017 ADAC
Performance Audit. Also present during the meeting are the representatives from the
DILG, PNP and the Civic Society Organization.
11. On October 3, 2018, 9:00 o’clock in the morning, IA5 Eduardo A. Makabenta IV, as the
representative of PDEA in the ADAC Audit Team, participated in the audit/evaluation
of the performance/functionality of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) of the
Municipality of Biliran, Biliran.
V. Teleradyo Program:
A. Teleradyo Program with IBC6 TV Station and DYVL Aksyon Radyo dubbed
as“PDEA in Action” is aired Live every Thursday from 09:30 to 10:30 AM simulcasting
DYVL Aksyon Radyo and Idol FM, anchored by Dir. Edgar T. Jubay, Atty. Jason T.
Matoza, and Information Officer Rogelette T. Urgel. It has also its livestreaming via
Facebook Account of Pdea Otso and DYVL Facepage Account. It is also aired at ATV
Channel 24 of Leyte Net Cable.
B. Another Teleradyo program dubbed as “SAGUBAY” was launched on July 07,
2018 anchored by the above signatory over IBC6 and Idol FM from 9:00-10:00 AM every
Saturday. The said program has also its livestreaming via Pdea Otso Facebook Account.
