Most of us are fortunate enough not to know much about real hunger and thirst. From me to me we might complain that we are famished as we wait for our next meal. But our health is hardly threatened when dinner is delayed for an hour! Thanks to everyone who diligently help provide food for those in need. From December 19 – January 20, 233 items were ulized. A touching story – We received an envelope in the mail a couple weeks ago with money in the envelope and a note saying – we have not been able to come to church for a few weeks and donate to the food pantry, so here is money. Please purchase what is needed. We did so, took a picture, and e-mailed the photo to the couple showing what their donaon contributed to the pantry. Pantry of Hope Submitted by Mike Molacek

Winter Night Watch – Thanks go to Marilyn Wi e, & Judy Klostermeyer for serving on
January 6th and to Brian & Jacob Claus for serving on January 27th. Also thanks to all the
people who donated the following January dona"ons:
14 coats, 9 jackets, 5 scarves, 7 stocking caps, 9 pairs of gloves, 2 packages of socks, 6
hooded sweatshirts, and 2 women’s hats.
Salva"on Army s"ll has a need for old coats, hats, or gloves that are s"ll in good condi"on to hand out to homeless in
Omaha. You can bring them to church and place them in the basket in the Narthex. If you have any ques"ons about
the Winter Night Watch program please contact someone on the Mission Commi ee.
Siena Francis House Meal Serving
Hope Church is blessed to be able to help out for a once-a- month ministry at Siena-Francis House. We serve meals at
Siena Francis House – and are scheduled (nearly) every 1st Saturday of each month. Time invested is only a few hours
(4 pm-7 pm) and the signup sheet is located in the Narthex on the side table. Not much is easier than that – and the
rewards are immense! Please sign up to help serve….it is a worthwhile project that Hope Church has embraced
wholeheartedly! IF you are interested in you and your family, friends or small group taking over a month (all by
yourselves), please contact Mark Canady or the church office for more details. Thank you to those who served Jan 7th:

Siena Francis Thank you card writers
