Apopka Toy Drive: We want to send out a big THANK YOU to everyone who sent in toy and gift donations for the Apopka Toy Drive that ended on Monday. Twenty-nine boxes were sent via Southwest Airlines on Thursday morning to a very grateful Sister Gail and her team for their Christmas Store! Thank you to our student council members who made quick work of the donations, packing them up and then helping to load them onto the trucks. Thank you to Mr. Alan Morris at the U-Store of Glen Burnie, who donated most of the boxes we used for this shipment. And finally, a huge thank you to Southwest Cargo, who delivered our shipment at no cost to us once again. They actually thank us for allowing them to be a part of this awesome tradition at Slade and gave out some nice little goodies to our student council helpers. Again, thank you to our wonderful, generous families for your unceasing support of this annual Christmas project! MISSION STATEMENT The mission of Monsignor Slade Catholic School is to promote Catholic faith and intellectual development in our students. We do this by teaching about and modeling the precepts of the Catholic faith, as well as challenging our students with a rigorous course of study. We do this so that they will use their faith, knowledge, and skills to shape their futures positively and work for the benefit of the whole society.
