Teach primary pupils about key money skills we use every day in the U.K. and give a gentle introduction to spend, save and budgets.
We will engage pupils in Year 7 and 9 in our workshop days, which include hands on activities such as crafting, computing and role play to cover the bank system, APR, loans, credit and debit cards, mortgages and other life money matters.
We have partnered with Nationwide Building Society, Invicta and Grant Thornton to provide top quality boxed money sets and real life application worksheets.
An Independent Financial Advisor works with us to answer any money matter questions. We can deliver the workshops or train your teachers.
Our primary programme has two modules, built in partnership with Grant Thornton and Invicta. Key stage 1 uses a Money Maths classroom pack which is designed to engage and teach numeracy skills and financial awareness in primary education. It is vital to start the process of learning about money early and within this classroom pack there are thirteen action based activities, which use real examples of money to bring learning to life.
Our Key stage 2 module, uses our ‘Magic Maths’ crafting activity and a ‘Money and Finance’ pack built in partnership with Invicta. These cover all of the elements of how to manage money in a responsible way in today’s modern world. The kit includes: credit, debit and store cards, paying in slips, cheques, statements, coins and notes. Many of the components are provided in re-useable acetate sheet format for photocopying and overhead projection. The notes are made in synthetic paper so that they are non tear, very flat and wipe-able. The primary Magic Maths uses a die cutting machine activity to reinforce mental Maths and the class work together creating a budget for a birthday party using our Birthday craft packs. Finally we introduce the Leaky Bucket. The concept is that the bucket represents their piggy bank and water represents money.

Our Activity Guides provide four weeks/sessions of activity, which are closely linked to the national curriculum as well as to personal, social and health education. By using the die machine and dies pupils with a range of abilities are given the opportunity to produce a personalised piece of work to the same standard as their peers. Whilst completing the activities pupils are encouraged to discuss and gain a deeper understanding of topics like Anti-Bullying, Healthy Me and Community. Each of the 14 activity guides can be used in a family learning environment, with ongoing costs being minimal, as most materials for each guide are reusable.
Educational Paper Craft Packs give children the opportunity to produce a personalised piece of work, which can be kept and treasured forever. These craft packs are a wonderful way to help children and families to come together through learning. Each of our 16 titles are linked to the national curriculum, but more importantly they are a way for children to consider and learn about personal, social and health related topics like I love to be Healthy and My Planet.
The Davis Family Reader Book programme is a thematic programme, which is linked to the national curriculum for EYFS – KS2 as well as the adult curriculum for Maths and Literacy. Each chapter deals with such PSHE topics as inclusion, diversity, family and friends and is linked to one of our educational paper craft packs. Teacher lesson plans for Maths, Science and Literacy are linked to each chapter along with a Maths pupil work book.
The Die Machines used within our activity guides are also available with a number of topic related bundles. This allows perfect shapes to be cut aligned to various subjects like Food, Wild Animals, Understanding shapes and Festive. All the bundles are designed by teachers and are totally reusable with only materials needing to be replaced.
