Monday Musical Club of Portland The 2021 MMC Scholarship program features 40 students competing for $21,000 worth of cash awards to include three named awards (top prizes) of $2,000 each going to the top Voice, (Foster), Piano (Colliver) and Instrumental (Phillips) categories. The additional $15,000 in awards will be divided between those with the best scores based on the Oregon State scoring system. 330 points will be awarded by each of three judges for Quality of Sound, Technique, Musicality, (100 points each) and Other factors (30 points) for a maximum score of 990 points. Winners will be invited to attend one of two virtual Teas being held over Zoom on April 12th and May 3rd. You will then have an opportunity to ask them questions and hear some of their music. The time of each event will be announced in advance, so stay tuned for announcements to follow. Please call or check our website for further updates.
