Stop When You Have Finished! Wednesday, May 6, 2020 Castle North Middle School’s Student Council will be sponsoring our annual school-wide 3K walk/run event in order to promote making healthy choices on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. This year’s theme is “Don’t quit when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done.” During our event, we will inspire our students, staff, and their families to develop lifelong and healthy habits. Our 3K event is an exciting and fun-filled day of exercise and fitness education where CNMS and the community come together to consider current choices we are making and how we can make better choices to improve our overall health. However, this cannot happen without help from our community. Alt- hough we are in need of donations of all kinds, we are in great need of donations for t-shirts. Every year, we provide each student and staff member with a shirt that each person wears the day of our event. We are very proud of the unity we have toward evaluating our personal choices and helping each other form goals of making healthier choices. Students continue to wear these shirts throughout the year both in school and in the community. However, we do not have funding to pro- vide these shirts. As a result, we are asking our community members and families to please help us with this. Any donation toward our efforts would help immensely and be much appreciated. Because we are in need of much funding, if your business or your family would be willing to make a donation of $300 or more, we will place your business name or family name on the back of each shirt as a way of showing our ap- preciation for your generosity. We also are in need of donations for bottled water, fruit pops, door priz- es, and awards. If you would be willing to offer assistance, please con- tact Ms. Killebrew ([email protected]) or Mrs.Bourgeois ([email protected]). CHS Football Parents Club The Castle Football Parents Club will be having our Freshmen Only meeting on Tuesday, February 18th @ 5:45 PM in the Castle High School Community Room. This is a great time to ask any and all questions you may have leading in to the upcoming season. You will have direct access to our Freshmen Coaches, as well as Board Members of the CFPC. Immediately following, we will have our monthly meeting, which is open to everyone. Discussion topics will be: Call Out (02/20/20), Mulch Sale, Physical Night (04/30/20), and Golf Scram- ble (06/13/20). It would be great to see everyone at the Freshmen meeting on Tuesday (02/18/20). It is impera- tive that everyone attends the Call Out Meeting on Thursday (02/20/20). Science Fair Corrections Inadvertently, Bradley Kehler was left off the Grand Champion of 7th grade. Matisen Hughes earned a first place in Biology. Finally, both Inspector Gadget Awards went to 8th graders.
