WHAT IS BULLYING?
Each day, over 160,000 students across the nation stay home from school due to fear of being bullied. Bullying directly affects a student’s ability to learn. Students who are bullied find it difficult to concentrate, show a decline in grades, and lose self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-worth. They also may experience physical symptoms – stomach aches, headaches and mental health.
CHOOSE KINDNESS- Practice random acts of kindness all dayStudents draw around their hand. They then identify 5 key people they can turn to if they have a problem like bullying. They write or draw the names of these people on each digit.
“CAPS FOR COMPLIMENTS” because what you SAY MATTERS to others.
Words have Power. They motivate…inspire…express emotions…give confidence and bring joy. Write a note of appreciation to someone and give them recognition. (ex: Bus driver, cafeteria personnel, teachers, family members. etc.)
