This will be great fun. Please give your name to the office if you wish to participate in Tuesday and/or Thursday Evenings parent workshops. “The Song Room” has also made available to our school a student performance by “Hands, Heart and Feet” on the Monday of the last week of school (again amazingly at no cost to the school). The entire school will attend this interactive Storytelling Performance and the group will also present a drumming workshop to a group of selected students. P&C Recipe Book - It’s finished! A copy is available at the office for viewing. Pre-orders can be made at the office (on the form on the back of this week’s Parrot). At $20 a copy or 3 for $50 they will make great Christmas presents. Orders will be taken up to Friday, 27 November. The Intensive Learn to Swim Program is for students from Years 2 to 6 who have not reached a satisfactory standard of water safety and survival skills and who are unable to swim 25m in deep water, unaided with confidence. Intensive Swimming runs for two weeks from 23 November to 4 December. Please return your permission note and money to the office by Friday, 20 November. TALENT QUEST Thank you to all the children entered the
2015 Talent Quest.
Heats from Stage 2 were held last week and by all reports the two heats were most entertaining.
The winners from Stage 2 heats were: Harley Logan, Frasier Beaton, Lochlan Dunn, Jorja Williams, Tayah Reeves, Georgia Hawken, Madeline Blackstock, Hunter Kriedemann, Cameron Frogley, Paul Richter, Danilo Bottaro-Porter, Thomas Burkitt, Anthony Dickson and Lachlan Plummer.
The winners will now perform at the Final which will be held on Tuesday, 1 December at the High School Hall.
Children in Stage 1 and Stage 3 who have entered the 2015 Talent Quest will be given a note informing them of the date and time of their heat.

Parkes Community White Ribbon March
Wednesday, 25 November at 12.45pm
This will be one of many events taking place across
Australia to raise awareness for White Ribbon Day,
25 November, the United Nations Day for
Elimination of Violence against Women. The school
will be supporting this event with Mr Ostler walking
with the School Captains.
Parents are also invited to participate with their
children. If you would like to join the march, you
will be required to pick up your children from the
school, accompany them in the march and return
them to school at the conclusion of the march.

Parkes Marist Junior Rugby League are looking to have the following teams in the competition next year: Junior girls league tag (Kindy-Year 6 must be 5 years of age) and Senior league tag Years 7-12 .
