Safety Training
You will undergo a comprehensive safety training program to ensure you have have the necessary information and skills to properly perform your job without unnecessary risk to your safety or health. The training program will take place:
upon hiring and prior to assignment of a job or task for which previous instruction was not
provided
whenever new procedures, chemicals or materials are introduced to the workplace
whenever new information is obtained indicating the existence of a hazard or chemical
previously thought to be safe
when it is believed a team member does not comprehend the instruction and policy provided

Your rights and responsibilities under the Law and this practice's policies
The potential hazards you are likely to encounter while performing your job
The methods you are expected to use to protect yourself from injury or illness
How to report an unsafe condition or make a suggestion for improving safety
The location of all safety devices, materials and information in the hospital
The proper use of personal protective equipment, including what specific devices are required for each
procedure, how to properly care for the devices, as well as the limitations of each device
The procedures you are expected to perform in the event of an emergency or disaster
Periodic refresher training will be presented whenever new situations, equipment or chemicals are
introduced to the hospital. If your manager believes you did not understand the training presented, you
may be required to participate in refresher training. Refresher training will also be made available to any
team member upon request.
