INTRODUCTION
The English Language has always been regarded as the challenging subject
despite an increase in the percentage of passes in the 2008 UPSR examination. After
years of teaching and learning, pupils are still lacking in the listening, speaking, reading
and writing skills especially those in the rural schools, thus resulting in the low
achievement of pupils.
As their participation in the UPSR examination plays a vital role in determining
the percentage of passes, they should not be overlooked. With that in mind, the Perak
Tengah English Department has initiated another special programme that caters mainly
for the low achievers. The District English Panel hopes that this module will be a great
benefit to the low achievers in Perak Tengah district.
RATIONALE

systematic teaching and learning programme which includes a variety of activities and
strategies.
AIMS
1. To enable the pupils to improve their proficiency in listening, speaking, reading

How are you? I hope you are fine and happy with your family. How was your school holidays? During the holidays, I spent my time reading at the Public Library. She never gave up fighting against the Japanese. Because of her bravery, she was awarded the George Medal by King George VI of England. Alright, I have to stop now. Hope you will write to me and tell me how you spent your last school holidays.
