Analysis

• From our textual analysis, we learnt that newspapers generally have bold, simple and easy to read mast heads so that it is clear to the buyer what newspaper they are reading. The font of the newspaper Mast head is one of the first things that the reader sees and therefore has to look professional, due to the purpose of a newspaper (to inform) in order for a reader to think it is reliable and then buy it.

Logos

• In addition to a clear mast head, Newspapers generally have a recognizable logo which the reader or buyer can identify them by. This logo needs to be small and sometimes include colour. Generally, the logo links with the name of the newspaper, even if the link is vague.
