By virtue of this, vessels can house the ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membranes, according to the multi-barrier approach. The use of different filtration modules ensures high flexibility of the plant which is able, in this way, to meet particular treatment needs; moreover the application of the inverter on the pumps allows a considerable energy saving. Housed in a 40 feet container, the plant is easily transpor- table and can be installed on any flat surface. Gel plant provides different treatment stages: - Coarse filtration, 200 µm - Coarse filtration, 80 µm - Sodium metabisulphite dosing - Antiscalant dosing - Security filtration, 5 µm - First section of membrane filtration - Second section of membrane filtration - Flushing/washing system (CIP, Cleaning in Place) - Post-chlorination of treated water According to the permeate quality you wish to obtain, this plant design allows to use the two filtration sections in pa- rallel or in series.
