March 17, 2020Today, the Ida County Board of Supervisors met with

other county elected offi cials and department administrators to discuss contingency operations in lieu of the recent COVID-19 pandemic. Out of an abundance of caution for the protection of our citizens and employees, the Board of Supervisors has made the decision to close the Ida County Courthouse and other County facilities to the public indefi nitely or until conditions have signifi cantly improved.

Ida County offi cials will fully cooperate and enforce Governor Kim Reynolds’s guidelines as outlined in her Statement of Public Health Disaster Emergency.

911 Call Center, Emergency Management Offi ce, Jail, Horn Public Health and the Sheriff’s Offi ce will continue to operate with slight modifi cations to protect citizens and employees’ health. Other regular county functions will continue to provide services via phone, email, online by special appointment, and postal mail.

Please utilize the drop box located on the East side of the courthouse near the Sheriff’s Entrance for tax payments, fi nes, registration renewal, various documents accepted by Courthouse Personnel.

An active mind is a good thing until bedtime. Stress and anxiety can cause insomnia, and the less sleep you get, the more stressful and anxious you’ll feel.
