Solution Guide

Use the first clue to solve for the next team.

The Blue Jays are the only Canadian team and thus did not make the playoffs or the World

Series.

At this point, you should use the clue under the Royals provided earlier

At this point, you should use the clue under the Dodgers provided earlier

The Marlins won the World Series in 2003, as did the Diamondbacks in 2001, Cardinals in 2006/2011 and Giants

in 2010/2012.

The Marlins, Rockies and Rangers clues now help you fill in the third column. Note that there are three teams from the AL Central in the fourth column, thus excluding them from the

playoffs based on the Rangers and Dodgers clues.

Note: you now know the Braves are at least in the playoffs but need

another clue to determine if they made the World Series.

At this point, you should use the clue under the Diamondbacks provided earlier

Mystery solved: the Nationals beat the Rays in the World Series.
