Demographic
MixMag spreads its title over the double page spread, it uses a plain clear font so that its young demographic wont loose interest and it doesn’t take a lot of effort to read. The
use of bright colours will also help when attracting their younger demographic. MixMag link their title and
background image as the title is ‘put on the red light’ and the background image is red strobes going into a audience
which again appeals to their party and club goer audience.
Text, Layout, Fonts
• The text in MixMags double page spread is in the column layout making the page tidy, neat and easy to read. This means its quick to read and not crowded in the layout of information. The font of the bulk text is simple making it aesthetically pleasing. They use a small stand first to put more of the readers attention onto the photograph and the headline. This shows us what MixMag think the most important aspects of their double page spread should be.
Features
• MixMag uses a number of different features in their double page spread. They use an editorial which gives the writer and photographer credit for the work that is produced in the double page spread. They also use a stand first which gives the audience a look into the article without reading it to know what its about. MixMag also section their articles or name them about who they involve which they keep in the top right hand corner of the page to show the reader what section they are in and to keep a theme of the magazine.
