MINUTES: December 11, 2018 St. Hugh’s Bishop’s Committee Jacque Swerdfeger (Bishop’s Warden), James Sales (2020, People’s Warden), Fr. Dan Rondeau (Vicar), Terry Kurr (2019), Julie Roy (2019), Robyn Ritchey (2020), Carol Rondeau (Clerk and Sunday School), Neil Passage (Treasurer). Permanent Guests: Ed Hansen (Music Minister), Rev. Patricia Horkey (Priest), Diana Kurr (Altar Guild). Guest: David Haddad (Convention Delegate). Excused: James Sales, Rev. Patricia. 1. Prayer –Father Dan led us in prayer. 2. Call to Order –9:38 AM 3. Review and Update Agenda (add items to New Business as necessary) –No new items. 4. Approve Minutes from the November 13, 2018 Meeting –Julie made a motion to approve the minutes of the November meeting. Robyn seconded the motion. All were in favor. 5. Treasurer’s Report (Neil) –Report submitted. Next meeting will be January 8 to discuss the 2019 budget. This is the only topic on the agenda. a. 2019 Budget Discussion – Next meeting (January 8, 2019) we will discuss and approve the 2019 Budget. This will be the primary Agenda Topic of the meeting. 6. New Business a. Nominees for BC (2019-2021) [Fr. Dan] –A dozen names were suggested by the entire BC. Fr. Dan will follow up. We are looking for two persons to serve 2019-2021. 7. Continuing Business a. Update: Accessibility and Revised Deck Project [James] Robyn had material to offer as a report. Robyn has offered to step back. She asked for the will of the BC about the status of the current, amended deck project. Expiration date (of plan check approval) is likely to be January 1, 2019. i. Jacque made a motion to instruct Robyn to tell the county planning that we cannot pursue this plan at this time. Julie seconded. Robyn abstained. All others were in favor. ii. FELLOWSHIP
The reminders for signups continue to be needed. There are Sundays notfilled for flowers or goodies. Collection for the Christmas flowers is ongoing
COMMUNICATION
The birthday/anniversary calendar needs to be updated. The personal info
sheets will be compared to the info on the calendar to make sure all areincluded. Also a new drive to get everyone and their pets photographed toupdate the online directory should take place in January.
CHURCH SAFETY
The continued search for church safety measures are ongoing but thelocking of the church doors during service is working and the members ofthe congregation have expressed their satisfaction with what measures wehave taken thus far.
