The retreat is suitable for all levels, irrespective of whether you have previous Qigong and Yoga experi- ence or want to discover the beauty of these eastern techniques. Furthermore we welcome your partner and/or children who want to share this time with you. Location and accommodation Braunwald, at an altitude of 1300 metres above sea level, is the next high alpine resort from down-town Zurich, just 70 minutes by train or car. High up on the sun terrace, the summer and winter sports venue of Braunwald sits enthroned over the valley of Glarus, surrounded by a fantastic panorama of mountains, with the peak of Tödi a real eye catcher. Its unique top is a glacier that draws and enchants the eyes. Braunwald can only be reached by funicular railway from the valley town of Linthal. This unique resort has been awarded the official „Families Welcome‟ seal of quality, holiday attractions include delightful themed trails, climbing and rose gardens. We will stay at the Bio-Hotel Klösterli Braunwald a former protestant nursing order retreat. The south fac- ing accommodation is authentic and comfortable and only available to members of our retreat. There are single and double rooms, all with lavabo and balcony. A sufficient amount of sanitary facilities will be shared. Carefully prepared organic vegetarian meals will nourish our bodies throughout the stay. Practice The retreat setting allows for plenty of individual guidance, so that we will be able to work with your spe- cific level and requirements. Profound relaxation will complete the session, so you can absorb the daily practice. Qigong, Taoyin, Yin Yoga and meditation Qigong is one of the therapy forms of traditional Chinese medicine, mostly defined as TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Qi stand for the Chinese concept of life energy; Gong means as much as "art" or "skill". You can therefore translate Qi Gong as "mastering and working with life energy". Taoyin (Chinese yoga) is also referred to as “the mother of Qigong”. Both consist of healing exercises to learn to listen and communicate with your body and to awaken its natural wisdom. The exercises help to cleanse the body of toxins, restore energy, reduce anxiety and stress, and help individuals to sustain a harmonious flow of qi on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level. Yin Yoga will allow the body to open at the deepest level of fascia and joints. We will practice movements in sitting, standing or lying down position. Please be advised that the schedule is flexible and will eventually be adjusted to any special needs or

wishes of the group if beneficial.

All classes are provided in English or Dutch (translation into German is possible upon wish).

The retreat will start in the afternoon of the 14th June and finish around lunchtime on the 20th.

Various (Ayurvedic) massages can also be arranged directly at Hotel Klösterli.

Angelic Pieplenbosch

Angelic was working as a fashion designer when, on a journey through Asia, her interest in Eastern

philosophy was awakened. She went on to study acupuncture and immersed herself in Qigong under a

number of different teachers. As well as teaching Taoyin, Qigong and Yinyoga, she gives one-to-one

consultations on personal energy management and suitable associated exercises for it.

Fee

Retreat (booking and payment until 18 May 2009): € 900 per person

Partner (no practice Yoga, Qigong and meditation € 525 per person

Children < 3: Free

Optional: One-to-one consultation € 80

An advance payment of € 300 will serve as confirmation of your booking. The full out-

standing amount should be paid no later than 25 May 2009.

Fees are in euros (€) and inclusive of:

- Meditation twice a day, morning and afternoon Qigong/Yoga classes

- 6 nights accommodation at Bio-Hotel- Klösterli Braunwald in single or double room

How to get to Braunwald

Public Transport:

Train connection by express train (IC from Basel and EC from Berlin/Hamburg /Amsterdam/ Brussels)

hourly from Zurich HB. From Chur or Chur/Sargans to Ziegelbrücke and subsequently by regional train

in the direction of Linthal to “Linthal Braunwaldbahn”.

From Zurich International Airport, there are excellent train connections every hour. Traveling time to

Braunwald: 2 hours.

By car:

From Zurich (approx. 70 min.), or from Chur/Sargans on Autobahn (A3) to the Niederurnen exit ; then on

the main road in the direction of Glarus/Klausen up to Linthal (Parking lot).

From the beginning of June to the end of October also via the Klausen Pass road from Central Switzer-

land.
