The morning was spent on seng ourselves up to be clearer and more accurate about answering the following two quesons: How well is he / she achieving, compared to the expected level of achievement for that year level..? How well is he / she progressing, compared to the expected level of progress..? This work involved idenfying benchmarks for the various assessments that we use, as well as idenfying expected rates of growth from year to year, all enabling us to be clearer about where the child is ‘at’ with their learning and how ‘well’ they are going with their learning. In the aſternoon, staff worked collaboravely with teachers from other schools in the ‘Nightcliff Educaon Network’ to discuss and assess student wring. Thank-you to our School Council for supporng this important Professional Learning day for our staff. Student-Led Conferences are happening THIS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY!! I look forward to seeing you there. On Monday, September 19, there will be a Special General Meeng for our School Council, with the specific purpose of rafying our new School Council constuon - all in our school community are welcome and encouraged to come along to this meeng, to hear about the changes from our exisng constuon, ask any ques- ons, etc. This meeng will happen at 6:30pm and will be followed by our normal, monthly School Council meeng.
