Remarks: Purchased from Reed Lowlines, in Wyoming. Bred a few cows and then sold partial interest and full possession to Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland, Colorado. We retained partial interest and are able to draw semen.

Remarks: Dam was a commercial cow with a lot of depth and width. His sire is Fairwyn’s Power. Is black-hided under the tan coat, theoretically he will produce black calves. He is bred to all MLAR percentage cows for spring 2015 calves.

Remarks: Purchased at the National Lowline Sale from Jake Reed Cattle Company, Brooten, Minnesota. She was a top People’s Choice for the Lowline Sale. Sired by Tequila and her dam is a Perfection cow sired by BoBo. One of Perfections greatest traits is her awesome udder.

She has only produced one bull, Mr. Perfect. The rest of her calves have been heifers that were sold at national Lowline-specific auctions. Her heifer from 2014, Precious, is being retained to be bred in Spring 2015.

Remarks: Purchased from Cimarron Lowlines, Olathe, Colorado, when pregnant with her second calf. She had come the year before to be bred by Fairwyn’s Power, so Jeramie and Randi were familiar with her and jumped at the chance to buy her when she came up for sale. She is a thick, wide cow that is an easy keeper.

She is the dam of Dust.

Fullblood Lowline CowRegistration # FF2831Remarks: A foundation-bred female. On the short side, but super-efficient and easy keeper (as wide as

she is tall and twice again as long). She maintains her body condition extremely easily. Purchased privately from a young man in Ft. Collins, Colorado. She had previously been shown at the National Western Stock Show.

Lilly is her first heifer calf; Lilly is being retained to be bred Spring 2015. A bull that she produced, Hey Baby, was sold as a herdsire to a woman that lives in central Colorado. Higgins is her Spring 2014 calf (Higgins’s slide shows her in the fall of 2014).

Remarks: First heifer ever retained by MLAR. She was sired by Fairwyn’s Power and her dam was XF6 (known as “916”), one of the first ½-Lowline cows produced in the United States—evidenced by her low registration number. Her name reflects her phenotype, she is very thick (“chunky”). She is a full sister to Luck and is the dam of Blue’s Clues. Her calves are very distinguishable and recognizable; they are really thick. She is bred to Rainmaker for a calf to be born Spring 2015.

Remarks: Full sister to Chunk, sired by Fairwyn’s Power and her dam was XF6 (known as “916”). She is not thick like Chunk, but still is super-efficient, and raises a super-nice calf. She is bred to Rainmaker for a calf to be born Spring 2015.

Remarks: Sired by Fairwyn’s Power and out of a full size Angus cow (“Maggie”) that was the poster cow for the American Angus. Annie took on Maggie’s conformation, but has the efficiency and fleshing ability of the Lowline. She is a phenomenal cow and raises a great calf. She is bred to Rainmaker for a calf to be born Spring 2015.

½-Lowline CowRegistration # XF14913Remarks: Sired by Fairwyn’s Power; her dam was an American Angus cow (“16”). She has the

phenotype of an American Angus, but is very moderate-framed. Her She raises a great calf and maintains her condition easily. She is bred to Rainmaker for a calf to be born Spring 2015.

She is a full sister to Surprise.

Remarks: Sired by Fairwyn’s Power; her dam was an American Angus cow (“16”). She is practically identical to her full sister, Suzy. Smaller version of the American Angus and raises a great calf. She is bred to Rainmaker for her 2nd calf to be born Spring 2015.

Remarks: Sired by Fairwyn’s Power; her dam was a 1,600-pound Charolais/Angus/? cow that produced the first ½-Lowline bull that MLAR sold (prior to that everything was steered). Treasure’s first calf, a heifer named Sprinkles, was a superb female; Treasure did a great job raising her and maintaining body condition. She is bred to Rainmaker for her 2nd calf to be born Spring 2015.

Remarks: Sired by Fairwyn’s Power; her dam was a full size crossbred cow (cow that gave birth to and raised Jangles). Thursday had a ¾-Lowline steer in Spring 2014 that she did a great job raising and maintained her condition at the same time. She is bred to Rainmaker for her 2nd calf to be born Spring 2015.

½- Lowline CowRegistration # MF23522Remarks: Sired by Fairwyn’s Power; her dam was a Classic Hereford that was super-deep. Her first calf was a

steer that she did a great job raising and maintained her condition. She is bred to Rainmaker for her 2nd calf to be born Spring 2015.

Her first calf, a heifer (sired by Jangles) born March 31, 2014, was solid black. The white markings are genetically dominant. The black being completely eliminated in the 2nd cross demonstrates the strength/dominance of the genes our bulls have.
