New Possibilities
Building on the Strengths of 211 and 311
Proposed New Concept 211 serves as the designated INR linking callers to MIHP
and related services. Forwards initial caller information and MIHP referral to 311. 211 will assure more robust referral information and all parties will work to
strengthen data sources and algorithms (Ex. Children with Special Healthcare Needs. INR = Information Resource & Referral)
311 serves as the Central Registry using proven
technology tools and follow-up processes to receive
track and report data from 211, health plans, providers, DHWP and MDCH.
