HARDWARE• Are tangible devices in a computer.
• Ex: mouse, system unit, monitor, speaker, scanner, etc…
• Are computer devices that allow user to input data, programs, commands and user responses into a computer.
– Ex: mouse, keyboard, scanner, web camera, joy stick, etc…
INPUT DEVICES

• Makes the information resulting from processing available for use.
– Ex: Monitors, Projectors, Printers, Speakers, Headphones, etc…
OUTPUT DEVICES
Are the one responsible for controlling the storage and retrieval of information.Ex: graphics card, computer memory,
network card, CPU, etc…
• is any hardware device capable of holding information. • There are two storage devices used in computers; a
primary storage device such as computer RAM and a secondary storage device such as a computer hard drive.
Ex: floppy disk, tape, CR-RW, USB flash drive, memory card, etc…
NETWORK DEVICES• are components used to connect computers or other
electronic devices together so that they can share files or resources like printers or fax machines.
• Ex: bridge, router, hub, gateway, repeater, etc…
• Sometimes abbreviated as SW and S/W, software is a collection of instructions that enable the user to interact
with a computer or have it perform specific tasks for them.
Ex: Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unix Mac OSX, DOS
PEOPLWARE refers to the role people play in technology and the development of hardware or software.
Ex: System Analyst, Programmer, Computer Engineers, IT Specialists, Computer Technicians, etc…
Also known as Data Warehouse or Enterprise Data warehouse.
It is a central repository of data which is created by integrating data from multiple disparate sources.
Examples: To learn about your company sales data you can build a warehouse that concentrates on sales. Using this warehouse, you can answer questions like "Who was our best customer for this item last year"
Another example could be: "Find the total sales for all customers last month/year, Retrieve any perticular months sale"
Also, a sales transaction can be broken up into facts such as number of products ordered and the price paid for the products, and into demensions such as order date, customer name, product number etc.
DATAWARE
allow computers, servers, printers and other devices to send data to each other. They are used to route data by repeating "as is" what is sent, or running a complex method of dividing the data and performing error checks before retrieving the data.
