SECTION1. Prescriptions for opioids written for first-time users 18 or older 2
shall not exceed the appropriate dosage for a 7- day period.3
SECTION2. Prescriptions for opioids written for any minor shall not exceed 4
the appropriate dosage for a 7-day period.5
SECTION3.“Opioids” shall be defined as an opium-like compound that bind to 6
one or more of the three opioid receptors of the body. Physicians 7
must be aware of a patient’s history of opioid usage as well as any 8
family history of addiction before ordering a refill for their 9
patient. 10
SECTION4. This bill shall be implemented immediately.11
SECTION5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null 12

beprovidedtoastateinwhichfewerthan75%ofschoolsofferthree12
opportunities.13
