DEMONSTRATING ENVIRONMENTAL RESPECT

• Several years ago, MidAmerican Energy began implementing a plan to install environmentalimprovements at its coal-fueled generation plants, which aligned with existing and anticipatedrequirements of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
