1. Only 20 % of the schools have been covered under inspections during FY 2011-12

2. Low coverage under School Health Programme.

3. Inclusion of Pre-primary children under MDM.

Reimbursement of Transportation Charges from 2004-05 to 2006-07 for lifting of food grains for MDM

1.Excess claim of Rs.1.61 crore during 2006-07(Audit Para no. 18.5 of Report No. PA -13 of 2008 –transport claim upto to school level even though food grains are not delivered at school level.

2. Undue financial benefits to wholesalers of Rs.56.00 lakhs.

Areas of Concern

5. MDM is interrupted in 8 schools in Ri Bhoi and 5 schools in West Khasi district due to non supply of food grains.

6. Inclusion of Pre-primary children under MDM. 7. Due to non payment of TA to wholesalers,

schools are not receiving food grains regularly. The extent of delay is sometimes two to three months.

8. Food grains are not delivered at the school level.
